Purpose The association's purpose is: 1. to defend the interests of all its members; 2. to promote and support the religious life of the Jewish community and to strengthen the sense of integration among its members; 3. to ensure and encourage respect by its members for liberal Jewish values in all areas of daily and societal life; 4. to support and carry out any endeavor or project essential to the preservation of the Jewish faith and the Jewish community in general; 5. to ensure the flourishing of the socio-cultural and educational life of its members, in particular through the organization of the celebration and observance of all Jewish holidays and through the organization of seminars, courses, memorial ceremonies, concerts, dances, or any other cultural or educational event; 6. To ensure the preservation of the Esch-sur-Alzette synagogue and the site of the former synagogue in Esch-sur-Alzette, and other community facilities, including the Jewish cemetery of Esch-sur-Alzette; 7. To enforce laws and regulations or any other provisions of a religious nature, particularly those relating to the holding of religious services and the internal organization of the Community's synagogue; 8. To support all philanthropic and charitable works; 9. The Community may undertake all acts directly or indirectly related to its purpose.
